There are two additional paintings which Sargent did of Jefferson. One was a much smaller oil bust portrait (47 x 38 cm) which John kept in his collection until his death. A second was done of Jefferson as Rip Van Winkle and is curently in the collection of  University of Georgia, Georgia Museum of Art
