"A tour of the [old Roman] wall will take one close to the Cathedral of Tarragona. I was amazed at the huge size of this church. It struck me as being one that should even be admired as the main cathedral in a city of a million people."

The Cathedral of Tarragona is located in (square) Pl. de la Seu right in front of the Gothic porchs and next to the University of Tarragona.

Its most important offer here is one of the most important collection of tapestries (most important in Europe) also has gothic paintings. But there is more, also has a fantastic collection of barroque scultures and renaissance paintings.

One can not leave this museum with out visiting the cloister with its impressive entrance and an spectacular arab arch, a unique piece in the whole Catalonia. This building is a mixt of romantic and barroque, it is a place one must take some time to visit.
