Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932) born in Edinburgh, he entered the Bank of England in 1879 and would become its Secretary in 1899. In his spare time, he wrote short stories and articles and would complete the novel "The Wind in The Willows" in 1908, set in the idyllic English countryside. The work would established his international reputation as a writer of children's books and has deeply influenced fantasy literature. Notes:
