The Met

The very first building for the Met was designed by Calvert Vaux (1824-1895). The very same man who later partner with Frederick Law Olmsted on Central Park and other landscaping projects.

The Met was officially opened in 1877 but outgrew this victotian building in a relatively short period of time.
