The Brooklyn Museum of Art after stairs removed
 Jpg:  BrooklynMuseum

Though the people at the Museum tried hard to creatively improve the thing, what was left after the stairs where gone was nothing short of  a total botch job to McKim, White and Mead's design.

Not until a $63 million total redesign of the front entrance by James Stewart Polshek of Polshek Partnership Architects -- which was finished here only recently in April of 2004 has the venerable old building got its groove back
