John Singer
Sargent was working on his second portrait of John D. Rockefeller, the
present work depicts a fountain on the grounds of Kykuit, the
Rockefeller
estate in Pocantico Hills, New York. . . . This painting will be
included the forthcoming J.S. Sargent catalogue raisonné by
Richard
Ormond and Elaine Kilmurray, in collaboration with Warren Adelson and
Elizabeth
Oustinoff.
